OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Dan Feeney, Nate Sudfeld and Shane Wynn
Right guard Dan Feeney, quarterback Nate Sudfeld and wide receiver Shane Wynn, regarded as one of the nation's top offensive trios, were all recognized as Indiana's players of the week for their performances vs. Bowling Green on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Feeney, in his 14th consecutive start at right guard, helped pave the way for Indiana's 42 points and 582 total yards of offense Saturday as the Hoosiers gave Sudfeld time to throw (zero sacks) and Tevin Coleman lanes to run through. Coleman rushed for 190 yards on 24 carries, his fourth straight 100-yard game, a streak tied for the longest in the nation.
Coleman, who has now earned offensive player of the game honors after each of IU's outings in 2014, rushed for 190 yards and a career-high three touchdowns (28, 46, 31) on a career-best 24 carries. It marked Coleman's fourth straight 100-yard game dating back to last season, tying the longest streak in the nation. The Tinley Park, Ill., native is first nationally in rushing yards (218.5) and all-purpose yards (237.5), tied for third in scoring (15.0), sixth in yards per carry (9.3) and tied for eighth in rushing touchdowns (5).
Sudfeld added his fourth career 300-yard game and first this season vs. BGSU, going 31-of-41 (75.6 percent) for 347 yards with one passing touchdown and a career-high two rushing scores. His 31 completions, which matched a career high, moved him into 10th all-time at Indiana with 287 total. He also moved into the top 10 at IU in career passing yards (3,613).
Wynn hauled in a team-high 10 receptions for a career-best 139 receiving yards, his third career double-digit reception game and second 100-yard game. The Cleveland native currently ranks sixth in the Big Ten with six catches per game and ninth at 73.5 receiving yards per game.
