Men's Tennis to Host Hoosier Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men’s tennis team will begin its fall season by hosting the Hoosier Classic Sept. 19-21.
Matches will be played starting at 9:00 a.m. Friday, at courts at Bloomington High School South and by the Indiana University School of Public Health by the Indiana Memorial Union.
Competing for the Hoosiers this weekend will be Elliott Yee, Daniel Bednarczyk, Stefan Lugonjic, Chris Essick, Alek Davila and Matthew McCoy.
The Hoosiers had a successful summer and put in a lot of hard work training for the upcoming season. Lugonjic captured the singles title at the ITA Summer Regional and Sam Monette won the singles title at the ITA Summer National Tournament. With his win, Monette received a wild card draw into the ITA All-American Tournament, where he can qualify for the ITA Indoor National tournament.
