OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Tevin Coleman and D'Angelo Roberts
Running backs Tevin Coleman and D'Angelo Roberts were named IU's offensive players of the week by head coach Kevin Wilson -- and it's easy to see why. Both set career highs in rushing yards, Coleman with 247 and Roberts with 129, leading to an Indiana team record at Memorial Stadium of 455 total rushing yards, a mark that ranks third in the country.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Bobby Richardson
Senior defensive end Bobby Richardson wreaked havoc in Indiana State's backfield all afternoon, earning him IU's defensive player of the week honors. Richardson set a career high with three sacks, the most by a Division I player through one week of college football. Richardson's three sacks, which set ISU back 23 yards, are tied for the fifth most in a single game by a Hoosier all-time. The Tampa, Fla., native now has 8.5 career sacks.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Erich Toth
Wilson named redshirt junior punter Erich Toth IU's special teams player of the week for Aug. 30. Toth punted twice, both times pinning the Sycamores inside their own 20-yard line, including one in the second quarter that placed ISU at its own 4-yard line.
SCOUT TEAM PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Anthony Davis, Tony Thomas & Andrew Wilson
Redshirt junior running back Anthony Davis and redshirt sophomore running back Andrew Wilson represented the offensive scout team players of the week as IU's defense was prepared to limit Indiana State to just 30 rushing yards, the ninth-fewest given up by any team in the country in week one. Redshirt sophomore bandit Tony Thomas was IU's scout team player of the week on defense as ISU was limited to just two sacks and the Hoosiers reeled off 455 total rushing yards.
