Individuals Compete at Cardinal Classic

YORKTOWN, Ind. - The Indiana women's golf team sent four individuals to compete at the 36-hole Cardinal Classic, hosted by Ball State at The Players Club in Yorktown, Indiana.
Sophomore Ana Sanjuan leads the Hoosiers contingent, tied for 27th with a round one score of 78. Sanjuan posted two birdies on the day, with a four on the par-5 15th hole and a three on the par-4 ninth hole.
One stroke back is junior Maria Mancini, tied for 34th with a 79. Mancini started the day with back-to-back birdies on one (par-4) and two (par-5), but was hit with back-to-back double bogeys on 13 and 14.
Sophomore Theresa-Ann Jedra is tied for 60th with an 11-over 83. Jedra had nine holes of par in the round but bogeyed six of the first nine holes of the day.
Senior Kamryn Klawitter rounds out the Hoosiers contingent, tied for 69th after a 12-over 84. Klawitter was even through the first two holes and finished her round with pars on the final two holes of the day.
The four women will be back in action Tuesday morning starting at 9 a.m. ET for the final round.
