Hoosiers Wrap Play at Cardinal Classic

YORKTOWN, Ind. - A contingent of four Indiana University women's golfers competing as individuals wrapped up play Tuesday at the 36-hole Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Yorktown, Indiana.
Sophomore Ana Sanjuan paced the IU group, finishing tied for 15th (78-74/152). Sanjuan carded a 2-over 74 on Tuesday, hitting par on 16 of 18 holes for the round.
Junior Maria Mancini put up a 79 in the final round to finish tied for 36th (79-79/158). Like Sanjuan, Mancini had a steady round with pars on 14 of 18 holes.
Senior Kamryn Klawitter had the second-lowest round of the day for IU with a 75, placing tied for 40th (84-75/159). Klawitter led Indiana with a pair of birdies in the round, posting a three on the par-4 11th hole, as well as a three on the par-4 18th hole.
Sophomore Theresa-Ann Jedra joined Klawitter as the only Hoosiers with birdies on the day, and finished tied for 40th at 159 (83-76). Jedra earned her birdie on the par-5 second hole, and hit par on 13 of the remaining 18 holes.
The Indiana team is back in action October 12-14 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
