OPENING TIP
• The 2014-15 college basketball season represents the 115th in the history of Indiana University. The Hoosiers will Penn State in the second game of a two-game homestand. The Hoosiers are coming off a 69-66 win over No. 22 Ohio State.

HEAD COACH Tom Crean
• Indiana named Tom Crean as its 28th men's basketball coach on April 2, 2008, and he is in his seventh year with the Hoosiers. He is 303-197 all-time as a head coach and in the last 3+ years, he has led IU to an 85-35 record, the 2013 Big Ten Championship and back-to-back appearances (12 and 13) for the Hoosiers in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1994. In 2012-13, he was named NABC District 7 and USBWA District V Coach of the Year. In the last two seasons, Crean has mentored three NBA Lottery picks which is tied with Kansas for the most among NCAA schools.
• Crean is the only Big Ten coach to mentor an NBA lottery pick, a National Player of the Year, a first team All-American, a first team Academic All-American and a Senior Class Award winner this decade.
• Since 2011-12, IU leads all major conference teams three-point field goal percentage (39.2) and are 2nd in free throw percentage (74.3), field goal percentage (47.4), and in free throws made (2,164). The Hoosiers are 4th nationally in scoring (77.0) over the last 3+ seasons.
• The Hoosiers 39.2 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line since the start of the 2010-11 season is the 2nd highest among major college conference schools in that time frame.
• With wins over No. 22 Ohio State, No. 22 SMU and No. 23 Butler, IU leads Big Ten teams with 18 regular season wins over Top 25 teams since the start of the 2011-12 season. This year, IU had two of the Big Ten's 4 wins against nationally ranked squads in non-conference play.

• The Hoosiers are 59-8 in Assembly Hall since the 2011-12 season, the second-most wins among Big Ten teams at their home facility behind Ohio State (63).
• IU out-rebounded Ohio State 48-39. It marked the sixth time in the last seven games that IU has won the battle of the boards after out-rebounding just four of its first nine opponents.
• Junior Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell is now 44th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,079 points. He leads all Big Ten juniors in career scoring, assists (347), 3-point field goals made (144) and free throw percentage (83.0). He is 3rd in the league in free throw percentage (88.0), and is 9th in the league in scoring (15.9), 5th in assists (4.7), and 8th in 3-point field goals made (2.1).
• Sophomore Troy Williams had his second double-double with 15 points and 12 boards against Ohio State. He leads the team in rebounding, averaging 6.1 per game.
• James Blackmon, Jr. is second in scoring among all B1G freshmen at 16.7 points per game. He had 16 second half points in the win vs. OSU.
• Freshman Robert Johnson is 8th among Big Ten frosh in scoring (9.4) and is fourth on the team with 21 three-point field goals made. He led the Hoosiers with 14 points against Nebraska.

• The Hoosiers are tied for 3rd in the country with 3 wins against Top 25 teams this season. Kentucky and North Carolina have 4, while Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Villanova all have 3.
THREE YEAR WIN TOTAL
• The Hoosiers 73 wins from 2011-12 to 2013-14 represents the highest three-year win total for IU since 1990-91 to 1992-93.

• The Hoosiers are 12th in the country in scoring (82.0). In the Big Ten, the Hoosiers are 1st in scoring (82.0), and in 3FGM per game (8.6). IU is 4th in field goal percentage (47.7) and 4th in 3FG% (38.5).

• Tom Crean coached his 500th game against Ohio State.
• Junior Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell has a school-record 47-game streak of making at least one 3-point field goal. That is the second-longest active streak in the nation.
ODDS AND TRENDS
• Over the last 3:32 of the game, the Hoosiers went 9-of-9 from the free throw line to help seal the win against the Buckeyes.
• The Hoosiers held the Buckeyes to their worst three-point percentage this season. Ohio State shot 3-of-21 (14.3 percent) behind the arc. OSU also shot their second-worst field goal percentage in the 2014-15 season, going 23-of-64 from the field (34.3 percent).
• In the last 10 games, IU is holding opponents to 26.4 percent shooting from behind the arc.
• Junior Yogi Ferrell has made 17 of his last 18 free throws over a 5-game period. With 12 seconds left in regulation against Georgetown, he hit a three-pointer that tied the score and sent the game to overtime against the Hoyas. It was the second time in his career that he hit a game tying shot to force overtime. He also did that against Butler at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in December 2012.
• Freshman James Blackmon Jr., is averaging 6.0 rebounds in the last 5 games.
• Freshman reserve Emmitt Holt had 5 points, 7 boards and 2 blocked shots against Ohio State. In Big Ten play, he is averaging 5.0 points and 4.3 rebounds.
• Sophomore Stanford Robinson is averaging 4.3 points in his three Big Ten games this season.
• Junior Hanner Mosquera-Perea is shooting 62.0 from the field and has scored in double figures seven times this season. He had 12 points and 10 boards against Nebraska.
• Sophomore Collin Hartman is shooting 54.8 percent from the field and came off the bench to score 2 points, 6 boards and 3 blocks against OSU. After returning from a torn ACL in six months, he is second on the team in offensive rebounds with 27.
• Sophomore Devin Davis will return to school when the semester begins Monday for the first time since suffering a traumatic brain injury on November 1.

STAFF WITH EXPERIENCE
• The Hoosiers have four former head coaches on their coaching staff this season. Associate Head Coach Tim Buckley begins his seventh year at Indiana. Former head coach at Ball State. His Cardinals beat No. 3 Kansas and #4 UCLA at the 2001 Maui Classic. Associate Head Coach Steve McClain is in his fifth year in Bloomington. Former head coach at Wyoming who led the Cowboys to the 2002 NCAA Tournament and a win over Gonzaga. Assistant Coach Chuck Martin joined the IU staff this past summer. Former head coach at Marist. Director of Operations Rob Judson came to IU in mid-season a year ago. He is a former head coach at Northern Illinois, who captured a MAC West title.
