IU Cheerleading Looks for 4-Peat This Weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. - Indiana University's all-female Crimson Cheerleaders, three-time defending national champions in Division I-A, hope to make it four in a row this weekend at the UCA-UDA College Cheer and Dance National Championships in the HP Field House at Disney World.
The Crimson Cheerleaders will compete at approximately 7:08 p.m. ET Saturday evening in the semi-final round. Some other all-girls I-A teams who'll be contending include Alabama, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Ohio State, Kansas, Rutgers, UNLV and Tennessee among others. Some 21 schools are entered in the Division I-A All-Girls semi-final competition. Observers of college cheerleading for several years have been talking about the increasing difficulty, skill and execution for the college all-girls cheer squads. Following the announcement of finalists Saturday, a draw will take place for the order of finals competition Sunday evening between 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Results will be posted throughout the competition on varsity.com, and the really interested fans may purchase video streaming of all competition through the same link.
