Indiana Team Notes |
• The Hoosiers shot 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from behind the foul stripe. This is the fourth game this season that IU has shot 80.0 percent or better from the free throw line (SMU, Savannah State, Georgetown).
• As a team, Indiana only had six turnovers. In the Tom Crean era (2008-09 to present), the Hoosiers have only had six or fewer turnovers three other times.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored a game-high 17 points. He also dished out three assists and had three rebounds. Ferrell only had one turnover in 35 minutes.
• Ferrell has now made at least one three-pointer in 46 consecutive games.
• The junior now has 1,069 career points, which is just four shy of Ricky Calloway for 44th all-time at IU.
• Freshman Robert Johnson scored nine points, had three assists and pulled down six boards.
• Freshman James Blackmon Jr. shot 6-of-6 from the free throw line and also had six rebounds.
• In a career-high 22 minutes of play, freshman Emmitt Holt scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting and had two rebounds.
• Sophomore Stanford Robinson scored four points and two steals in 12 minutes on the court.
• Freshman Max Hoetzel puled down three rebounds and scored two points in 14 minutes.
• The Hoosier welcome the Buckeyes of Ohio State to Bloomington for their next match up (Saturday, Jan. 10 at noon).
