IUXC to Compete at Princeton on Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana cross country will compete in the Princeton Interregional Meet on Saturday, Oct. 3 in Princeton, N.J. The meet will take place at the West Windsor Fields on the Princeton Campus.
Competition will get underway at 10:45 a.m. ET with the men's race as the women's race will follow at 11:30 a.m.
Teams participating in the event with Indiana include Columbia, Duke, Duquesne, Monmouth, Princeton, Providence (men), St. John's (women), North Carolina, Villanova (women), Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and William & Mary.
Along with the No. 19 Hoosiers, two other men's programs competing are nationally ranked heading into the weekend in No. 18 Providence and No. 29 North Carolina. Virginia Tech received votes in this week's poll as well.
On the women's side, four ranked teams are in the field on Saturday in No. 18 William & Mary, No. 21 North Carolina, No. 25 Villanova and No. 28 Princeton. Columbia also received votes.
The Princeton Interregional will be IU's first competition out of the state of Indiana in 2015. The Hoosier women are coming off a first-place finish at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet, which took place in Terre Haute on Sept. 18. IU scored a perfect 15 points in that race by finishing first through fifth individually.
