LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Members of the Indiana cross country teams competed at the Pre-National meet at Tom Sawyer Park on Saturday morning in Louisville. Both squads ran in the unseeded race with the Hoosier women placing 10th in that event and the men finished 12th.

In the women's 6K run, Katherine Receveur was the first Hoosier to finish in a time of 21:28.1 in 29th position. Corinne Cominator crossed the line next for IU in 21:37.3. The remaining Indiana scorers included Olivia Hippensteel (60th, 21:59.5), Kelsey Harris (79th, 22:07.1) and Brenna Calder (97th, 22:18.4).

On the men's side, Indiana's 12th-place finish was paced by Carl Smith who crossed the line in 22nd position in a time of 24:35.8. Eric Claxton came in next for the Hoosiers in 31st position at 24:46.6. Josh Roche was 38th overall (24:49.4), Kyle Burks clocked in at 25:08.8 in 69th and the final IU scorer was Robert Browning (130th, 25:44.3).

The Hoosiers will next hit the championship portion of the schedule as this year's Big Ten Championships meet will take place in Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 1 with Northwestern hosting the event.
