LAST TIME OUT
Indiana traveled north last weekend to face Wisconsin and No. 18 Minnesota. The Hoosiers dropped a 3-0 decision to the Badgers on Friday and fell to the Golden Gophers, 3-1. Freshman Hanna Johnson scored her first career goal against Minnesota on a score in the 17th minute off the assist from fellow freshman Caroline Dreher.
FRESHMEN PLAYING BIG ROLE
The Hoosiers have seen major contributions from its freshmen class with Johnson's score on Sunday being the latest. Six freshmen have logged important minutes for Indiana, including starts by five. Justine Lynn, who had battled back from an injury, made her first career appearance against Wisconsin on Friday before making her first career start against Minnesota Sunday.
In addition to Johnson, other freshmen who have scored their first career goals for the Hoosiers this season have been Cassidy Blacha and Maya Piper. Dreher has now registered two assists on the year.
STONE'S SAVES
Redshirt senior goalkeeper Sarah Stone currently leads the Big Ten in saves with 53 on the season with 19 of those coming in conference play. Stone's 161 career saves currently ranks sixth in Indiana program history.
PUTTING IN OVERTIME
To this point, Indiana has played in five overtime contests this season, which matches last year's total. Four of the those games resulted in ties, while a fifth resulted in a 1-0 victory against Baylor in the first OT period on Aug. 30. The Hoosiers have had four of five home games result in double overtime ties. Indiana's four ties this season are the most since the 2006 team also registered four.
