Hoosiers Wrap Up June Stewart Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis team completed the final two days of the June Stewart Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Vanderbilt, picking up four doubles victories and a singles win.
On Saturday, Kim Schmider and Sarah Baron defeated Alizee Michaud and Reka Muller by a 6-3 score. IU's Paula Gutierrez and Danielle Wolf also won in doubles play over Alannah Griffin and Caroline Turner from Auburn, 6-4.
Gutierrez and Wolf won again on Sunday by another 6-4 margin, this time over Abby Stevens and Summer Schlotterback of Wichita State. Sarah McLean and Madison Appel also picked up a doubles victory in convincing fashion, 6-1, over WSU's Tanaporn Thongsing and Giulia Guidetti.
In Sunday's singles play, Wolf defeated Maggie Leavell of Vanderbil in consecutive sets, 6-1, 6-4.
The Hoosiers will wrap up the fall slate at the Western Michigan Super Challenge in Kalamazoo, Mich. on Nov. 6-8.
