Hoosiers Fall at No. 4 Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS – Freshman Elizabeth Asdell led the Hoosiers with nine kills and senior Courtney Harnish recorded her 1,000th career dig, but the Hoosiers fell on the road at No. 4 Minnesota in three sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-16) on Wednesday at the Sports Pavilion.
In set two senior captain Courtney Harnish became the 12th player in IU school history to reach 1,000 career digs. Harnish tallied 11 for the match and now has 1,007 for her career.
Senior Amelia Anderson totaled eight kills to push her season total to 314, already more then she had all of last season (312) with nine regular season matches to play.
Junior Megan Tallman recorded 32 assists for the Hoosiers (13-10, 3-8) and junior Allison Hammond recorded three service aces on the night.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to Madison, Wis., for a meeting with the Badgers on Sunday Nov. 1 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
