Basten Named B1G Sportsmanship Honoree

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten announced its annual postseason honors on Friday, including the selection of Indiana senior Emily Basten as a Sportsmanship Award honoree. Basten, who transferred to Indiana from Central Michigan prior to the season, starting in all 19 games for the Hoosiers and was part of a backline that registered the second-longest shutout streak in program history at 463 minutes.
The 14 student-athletes chosen as Sportsmanship honorees are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These students must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
