Hoosiers Complete Day One at ITA Nationals

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Seniors Sam Monette and Daniel Bednarczyk opened play at the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Thursday.
Monette dropped his opening match in the round of 32 to Herkko Pollanen of Ohio State, 6-4, 6-4.
After a bye in the round of 32, Monette and Bednarczyk were defeated in doubles by Richard Pham and Shawn Hadavi from Columbia by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
The pair will continue play tomorrow in the consolation bracket.
Herkko Pollanen (Ohio State) def. Sam Monette (Indiana) 6-4, 6-4
Pham/Hadavi (Columbia) def. Monette/Bednarczyk (Indiana) 6-4, 6-2.
