IU Head Coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan
On senior Courtney Harnish recording her 1,000th career dig
"I think Courtney has been one of our most consistent players this entire season. It's great to see her hit some milestones, because she deserves them and has earned them and has put in the work to get them. I thought it was really special for her. She has been such a great leader for us. The individual accomplishments don't really mean much to her. When you have a player like that, that focuses more on what she can do to help the team, you want those kids to reach those milestones."
On freshman Elizabeth Asdell leading Hoosiers in kills against Minnesota
"We have been trying to get her the ball a little more and balancing out our offense. I thought her mindset coming into the match (at Minnesota) against probably the top team in the Big Ten right now, as a freshman was really good. I think her thoughts were, they are not bigger then me, I'm doing this in practice and I can do this against them. I think she is approaching things the right way, the way we know can win at this level."
On the match vs. Iowa on Wednesday
"The things I've seen out of Iowa, they are much improved from last season. They played a great non-conference schedule then hit the wall a little bit in conference play. What I've seen is the energy they play with and I think they are getting better. I'm happy to be playing them at home. I think we play better at home and we need this win just like they will be hungry for the win."
On Student Appreciation Night Wednesday vs. Iowa
"I have been really impressed with the student support this year. We have always had good crowds and this year is no exception to that. We are talking about building a new facility on campus and getting the students more involved. We appreciate the IU students coming over and taking time to support their fellow students."
