Big Ten Championships/Wake Forest Day One Recap

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana men's team wrapped up the opening day of competition at the Big Ten Singles and Doubles Championships in Iowa City, Iowa and the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston Salem, N.C.
In Iowa senior Chris Essick and junior Stefan Lugonjic won their opening doubles match 6-2 over Kim/Koenen from Michigan State, but then fell 6-3 to Lorenzini/Vandixhorn from Northwestern.
Singles play starts tomorrow at the Big Ten Singles/Doubles Championships.
At the Wake Forest Invitational sophomore Raheel Manji and freshman Antonio Cembellin each won their first two matches. Senior Elliott Yee dropped his first match, but came back to win his round two match. In doubles Manji and Cembellin won their opening match, 8-4 over Hagar/Chaudhry from Davidson.
