• Jordan Howard collected 174 yards rushing on 22 carries (7.9) to go along with two touchdowns from 37 and 29 yards. His 37-yard rush was the longest of his Hoosiers career. Howard has seven TDs this season and 22 in his career.
• Howard recorded his sixth career multi-score game and his second this season. The junior now has 16 career 100-yard games, with five of them this season, and 11 career 150-yard games, with four this season.
• He is the second straight Hoosier to surpass 150 yards against Iowa. Tevin Coleman went for 219 in Iowa City on October 11.
• The Hoosiers finished the contest with 227 yards on 39 attempts, a 5.8 average.
• IU has had a 100-yard rusher 16 times since the start of the 2014 and has rushed for 200 yards 15 times in that same span.
• With his 11-yard touchdown to fifth-year senior tight end Michael Cooper in the fourth quarter, Nate Sudfeld set the program's all-time career mark with his 49th TD.
• Iowa entered today's game allowing one rushing touchdown on the season and 85.8 yards per game. Maryland quarterback Perry Hills was the only player to rush for over 100 yards (104 on Oct. 31).
• Redshirt sophomore linebacker Marcus Oliver recorded his fourth double-digit tackle game this season, making a team-high 11 stops. Oliver has recorded double-digit tackles in three out of his last four games.
• Oliver has led the IU defense in tackles on five different occasions this season.
• Safety Chase Dutra recorded his second-straight double-digit tackle game with 10 stops. The redshirt sophomore has three double-digit tackle games this season and in his career.
• Sophomore defensive lineman Robert McCray III finished with a career-high two tackles for loss.
• IU saw its streak of 14 games with a takeaway snapped.
• Griffin Oakes delivered a pair of field goals in as many attempts. The redshirt sophomore moved into sole possession of eighth on the program's career field goals list and is 25-of-32 (78.1) in his career. Oakes has connected on 12-of-14 (85.7) in 2015.
• The teams played to a scoreless third quarter. IU has blanked six teams in the stanza this season and has outscored its opponents 92-27.
• Indiana has scored on its opening drive five times in 2015 (3 touchdowns, 2 field goals).
• Oakes second field goal cut Iowa's lead to 21-20 with 13:22 remaining in the ballgame. The drive was IU's longest scoring drive of the season in term of plays (17) and time of possession (6:07). It also covered 80 yards.
• The Hoosiers have faced three top 10 teams for the ninth time in program history and the first time since 1991.
• Right guard Dan Feeney (fourth time in 2015), linebacker James Halford (first), linebacker Marcus Oliver (fourth) and linebacker T.J. Simmons (third) served as Indiana's game captains.
