IU’s Thompson Earns All-American Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Indiana University men's soccer midfielder Tanner Thompson was named Third-Team All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) on Friday.
Thompson repeats as an All-American in 2015, as the Loomis, Calif. native was named to the NSCAA first team a year ago. Thompson is the 15th Hoosier to earn multiple All-America honors and the first since Brad Ring earned his second accolade in 2008. Overall, 39 Indiana players have garnered a total of 63 All-America honors.
Thompson started all 21 matches for the Hoosiers, totaling three goals while leading the Big Ten with nine assists. Along with the All-America distinction, Thompson was also named First-Team All-Big Ten, Big Ten Midfielder of the Year and First-Team All-Midwest Region.
