• Indiana trailed by 11, 43-32, late in the third quarter and went on a 17-2 run over a span of 3:56 at the end of the third and into the fourth quarter to take a 49-45 lead after an Amanda Cahill 3-point field goal. IU scored 13-straight points during that run.

• IU outscored Samford 13-4 in overtime, using an 8-0 run by Cahill herself in the first 3:51 of the extra frame. It was Indiana's first overtime game since Nov. 30, 2014 against Indiana State.

• As a team, Indiana shot 87.1 percent from the free throw line hitting 27-of-31 attempts. It marked the third time this year that IU has had 30 or more attempts from the charity stripe. The Hoosiers have shot 83.3 percent or higher in three of the last four games.

• Indiana outscored Samford 27-2 from the free throw line.

• The Hoosiers outrebounded Samford 47-34. The 47 team rebounds are the highest total for Indiana in a single game this season.

• Sophomore Tyra Buss led Indiana with 21 points, five steals and three assists to go along with a season-high nine rebounds. Buss has scored in double figures in all nine games this season and 13-consecutive games dating back to last year. She has had five or more steals twice this season.

• Buss nailed 15-of-17 free throws in the game, tying for the fourth-most free throws made in a single game in program history and the most by an IU player since Alexis Gassion hit 16 free throws on Jan. 22, 2015 vs. Penn State.

• Cahill had a season-high 19 points and 11 rebounds to accomplish her first double-double of the season and the seventh of her career. She added a season-high tying three steals and a pair of assists in the win.

• Gassion achieved her first double-double of the season and the fourth of her career with 13 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. She also had two steals and two assists.
