Two Track Athletes Honored by Big Ten

Junior Madison Stenger and freshman Markevious Roach were honored by being selected Big Ten Athletes of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Madison was honored as the Co-Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week. She earned this distinction for her 3rd place finish in the 1,000m run. Her time of 2:49.71 is the 2nd best time in school history and the 2nd best time in the nation right now for collegiate runners.
Markevious was crowned the Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week on the men's side. He set the school record in the 500m dash with a winning time of 1:02.88. Roach also currently holds the top time in the nation for this event.
