Postgame Notes
• With the win, the Hoosiers improve to 10-3 overall and finish their non-conference schedule with 10 or more victories for the fifth consecutive season.
• The Hoosiers are 9-0 at Assembly Hall this season.
• Indiana is 10-0 when they score at least 80 points this season.
• Indiana made nine of their first 10 field goals. After Kennesaw State scored the first points of the game to take a 3-0 lead, the Hoosiers used a 12-2 run to take a 12-5 lead. Freshman Thomas Bryant scored six of the 12 points.
• The Hoosiers shot 33-of-51 (64.7 percent) from the field. Indiana has shot 50 percent or better in 10 of 13 games and 60 percent or better in three games.
• 10 players scored for the Hoosiers led by 20 each from Troy Williams and Thomas Bryant. For the second time this season (Alcorn State-Ferrell 22, Blackmon 20) the Hoosiers had two players score 20 or more points (Williams and Bryant both with 20).
• The Hoosiers shot 16-of-23 (69.6 percent) from the field in the opening half and 17-of-28 (60.7 percent) in the second half. IU has shot better then 60 percent in a half six times this season.
• IU went 11-of-19 (57.9 percent) from behind the 3-point line in the game, marking the eighth time in 13 games that they have made at least 10 triples. The Hoosiers shot 50 percent or better from 3-point range for the fifth time this season.
• As a team, Indiana is shooting 48.3 percent from the 3-point line over the last four games (43-of-89).
• Six different IU players made at least one 3-point field goal for the sixth time this season.
• Indiana connected on 22-of-31 (71 percent) from the free-throw line and scored 16 more points at the free-throw line then Kennesaw State (6-of-9).
• In the last five games, Indiana has held opponents to 25-of-92 (27.2 percent) from the 3-point line.
• With a 34-23 edge in rebounds, IU has now outrebounded opponents in 10 of 13 games this season. The Hoosiers outrebounded the Owls 21-7 in the second half.
• The Hoosiers had 18 assists for the game, marking the eighth games this season they have dished out at least 17 assists.
• Kennesaw State cut the Indiana lead to eight at 59-51, before the Hoosiers used a 19-4 run to go up 78-55 with 6:44 to go in the second half.
• When freshman Juwan Morgan entered the game for the first time in the second half (17:58) IU was up six. The Hoosiers went on to outscore the Owls 51-30 the rest of the game.
• Junior Troy Williams scored 20 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out a career-high six assists. Williams made a career-best three 3-point field goals while reaching the 20-point mark for the seventh time in his career.
• In his last three games, Williams is averaging 17 points per game and shooting 57.6 (19-of-33) from the field.
• Freshman Thomas Bryant scored a career-high 20 points and added five rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Sophomore James Blackmon Jr., scored 19 points and dished out three assists.
• Senior Kevin Yogi Ferrell scored 16 points and contributed four rebounds and four assists.
• Ferrell now has 1,588 points for his career. He is two points behind Greg Graham for 13th on the all-time scoring list at Indiana. Ferrell also ranks third in school history with 515 career assists and 215 career 3-point field goals made.
• Redshirt senior Max Biefeldt came off the bench to score six points and grab five rebounds.
• Sophomore Robert Johnson and freshman O.G. Anunoby scored five points each for the Hoosiers.
• Redshirt senior Nick Zeisloft scored four points.
• Freshman Juwan Morgan scored two points and grabbed two rebounds.
• Junior Collin Hartman scored two points and added three rebounds and two assists.
