Postgame Notes
• With the 76-60 victory, the Hoosiers improve to 2-0 in the all-time series against Yale.
• Indiana finishes non-conference action with an 8-4 overall record, including a 5-0 mark at Assembly Hall.
• The Hoosiers shot 27-of-50 (54.0 percent) from the field, their fifth game this season shooting 50 percent or better.
• Indiana shot a season best 70 percent (7-of-10) from 3-point range in the game.
• The Hoosiers shot 15-of-19 (78.9 percent) from the free-throw line and have shot 71-of-88 (80.7 percent) from the free-throw line in their last four games combined.
• For the season, Indiana has made more free-throws (185) than its opponents have attempted (131).
• The Hoosiers led 36-29 at halftime and opened the third quarter with an 11-0 run over 2:41 to go up 47-29. The Hoosiers outscored Yale 26-16 in the third quarter.
• Indiana had four players score in double-figures and have had that happen four times this season.
• The Hoosiers outrebounded Yale 31-26 and are 5-0 when they outrebound opponents this season.
• The Hoosiers outscored Yale 21-8 in bench points.
• Junior Alexis Gassion led the Hoosiers with 19 points, her fourth consecutive game in double figures. Gassion is averaging 15.5 points per game over that stretch. Gassion also added four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
• Junior Karlee McBride scored a season-high 16 points off the bench for the Hoosiers on 6-of-7 shooting from the field.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss scored the first six points for the Hoosiers and finished with 13 for the game. She has scored in double digits in all 12 games this season and 16 in a row dating back to last season. For the fifth time Buss had five or more assists with six dimes against Yale.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill recorded her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Cahill has scored in double figures in five consecutive games and is averaging 14.4 points and seven rebounds per game over that stretch. Cahill has now achieved eight career double-doubles.
• Sophomore Jess Walter made her first start of the season and tied her season-high with five points and added one rebound, one assists and one steal.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored six points and grabbed three rebounds.
• Freshman Kym Royster scored five points and added three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
