Hoosiers Compete at Alex Wilson Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Indiana track and field team had their final meet before they travel to Geneva, Ohio next week for the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
In the women’s pole vault the Hoosiers took the top two spots. Sophie Gutermuth won the competition with a mark of 4.16m. Sydney Clute finished second as she cleared a season-best height of 4.06m.
In the men’s pole vault Terry Batemon took the top spot with a clearance of 5.15m.
The men’s distance medley relay team finished 12th with a season-best time of 9:38.28.
Up next the Hoosiers travel to Geneva, Ohio, Feb. 27-28 for the Big Ten Indoor Championships at the Spire Institute.
