BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana women's tennis team, currently ranked No. 52 nationally, will host a double-header on Saturday, Feb. 7 inside the IU Tennis Center. The Hoosiers will take on No. 47 DePaul at 11 a.m. ET and then Butler at 4 p.m.
The Hoosiers sit at 5-0 on the young season with home wins over Miami (OH), Western Michigan and Eastern Illinois, and road wins against Cincinnati and Xavier. This weekend begins a five-match homestand for the Hoosiers as IU will welcome Marquette to Bloomington on Feb. 14, followed by a double-header against Notre Dame and Ball State on Feb. 15.
DePaul, last year's BIG EAST champion, is 3-2 on the year with both of its losses coming to the hands of top 50 teams (then-No. 22 Texas and then No. 50 Harvard) at a neutral site. The Blue Demons have won three straight matches heading into this weekend. Patricia Lancranjan, a freshman for DePaul, is the lone player on the roster ranked nationally at No. 93.
Butler will take on Indianapolis on Friday before coming to Bloomington on Saturday to battle the Hoosiers. The Bulldogs are 1-5 so far this season.
Live results of the match will be available at the link above.
