BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Four members of the Indiana track and field team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the 2015 NCAA Indoor Championships March 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of Arkansas.
Juniors Sophie Gutermuth (pole vault), Stephen Keller (heptathlon), Dylan Anderson (heptathlon) and sophomore Tre'tez Kinnaird will represent the Hoosiers.
The heptathlon athletes will start things off on Friday March 13 at 11:00 a.m. ET with the first of four events on the day. They will come back on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. ET for the final three events of the competition.
Kinnaird will compete in the prelims of the 800m run on Friday at 8:55 p.m. ET and Gutermuth will take the track on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET for the pole vault.
Gutermuth comes into her second NCAA Championship meet with the seventh best mark in the competition (4.34m-14 feet, 3 inches), which she set to finish second at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. The mark for Gutermuth is an IU school record.
Kinnaird was the Big Ten Indoor Champion at 800m two weeks ago with a time of 1:48.89 and comes into the national meet with the 15th fastest time in the competition. Kinnaird set an IU school record on Feb. 7 when he won the 800m at the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame in a time of 1:48.20.
Kinnaird makes his second straight national meet after earning All-America honors as part of the Hoosiers third-place distance medley relay team last year at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Keller finished in third-place at the Big Ten Championships with a total of 5,706 points, the second best in school history. His teammate Anderson finished in fourth-place at the Big Ten Championships and is third on the all-time list for the heptathlon.
ESPN3 will stream the NCAA meet live on March 13 and 14 starting at 7 p.m. Eastern time. A tape delay of the championship will air Monday, March 23 starting at 7 p.m. Eastern time on ESPNU.
