IU Hits Road for Pair of Big Ten Matches

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana women's tennis team, currently ranked No. 52 nationally, will hit the road for a pair of Big Ten matches this week beginning Friday, March 20 at No. 64 Nebraska followed by a match at Iowa on Sunday, March 22.
Indiana is coming off its Las Vegas spring break training trip to return to Big Ten play. The Hoosiers are 9-4 on the year and are looking for their first win in conference play as IU fell in its only Big Ten match played so far this year. Indiana will be playing on the road the remainder of the month.
The Hoosiers and Huskers will get started at Noon ET on Friday in Lincoln, Neb. Nebraska (11-4, 0-3) is also looking for its first Big Ten victory this year. The Husker duo of Mary Hanna and Izabella Zgierska rank No. 47 nationally in the latest ITA Rankings. IU topped Nebraska in their meeting last year in Bloomington, 6-1.
Sunday's match at Iowa will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET in Iowa City. The Hawkeyes have won three of their last four matches and hold an overall record of 7-5 and 1-2 in Big Ten matches.
