Indiana Lands 11 on NFHCA Academic Squad

The Indiana field hockey team landed 11 student-athletes on the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, the organization announced today.
Kate Barber, Amanda Bennison, Morgan Dye, Mollie Getzfread, Cameron Gibson, Audra Heilman, Katie Johnson, Maddie Latino, Karen Lorite, Nicole Volgraf and Corinne Karch all received the honor.
The achievement is the fourth in a row for Karch, who has been selected a member of the Academic Squad in every season she has played. This is the third time Bennison, Getzfread and Lorite have received the honor, while Dye, Barber, Heilman, Johnson and Volgraf are two-time recipients.
In addition, the team was honored on March 9 by the NFHCA for recording a team GPA of 3.0 or above.
The Hoosiers kick off their spring schedule this Saturday as Indiana plays host to Ball State and Missouri State at the IU Field Hockey Complex.
