BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana volleyball team will open its 2015 spring schedule this weekend when the Hoosiers head to Louisville, Ky. to compete in the KIVA/OVVC Spring Tournament on Saturday, March 28. The trip to Louisville will open as the first of four dates this spring, including one at the University Gym in Bloomington, Ind., on April 4 against Indiana State.
Indiana is slated to compete in three, best two-of-three set matches this Saturday at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center. IU opens with Western Kentucky at 9 a.m. ET. followed by Memphis at 11 a.m. and Cincinnati at 2 p.m.
Following the tournament in Louisville the Hoosiers will host Indiana State on April 4 for the Indiana Spring Bash. Two weeks later on April 18, the Hoosiers will compete in the Indy Collegiate Invitational in Indianapolis, and closeout the spring schedule at Purdue on April 25.
IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said the Hoosiers have had successful conditioning and practice sessions since the middle of January.
"We have worked a lot on position training and have been talking to them a lot about individual greatness," she said. "Everybody is at a different place, but we all need to find that consistency."
