OVVC College Spring Tournament Recap

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana volleyball team kicked off their spring schedule with the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center College Spring Tournament on Saturday in Louisville, Ky.
 
The Hoosiers played three matches each for two sets and had an overall record of 1-1-1 with a 2-0 win against Memphis, a 2-0 defeat against Western Kentucky and a 1-1 tie against Cincinnati.
 
Freshman Jessica Leish hit .306 with 22 kills and six aces on the day and juniors Amelia Anderson and Chante' George registered 17 and 14 kills apiece. The Hoosiers tallied 17 team aces, 15 blocks and 100 digs (16.7 per set) over the six sets.  
 
Up next the team will host the Hoosier Spring Bash vs. Indiana State at University Gym on Saturday April 4 starting with competitive wash drills at 10:30 a.m. and a traditional scrimmage at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
