Kyndall Merritt (volleyball) and Luke Stephenson (baseball) have been honored as February Scholar Athletes of the Month.
Kyndall Merritt: Volleyball, Junior, Human Development & Family Studies
"In the fall of 2014, Kyndall rocketed to a stellar semester GPA and continues to soar to further heights. She has fully engaged her course material, eagerly seeks assistance for challenging material, and brings a fresh enthusiasm to her work both on and off the court. Kyndall has stepped up to the academic challenges of a major research university and serves as a positive role-model for her teammates and the broader campus community." -Dan Woodside, Director of Academic Services
Luke Stephenson: Baseball, Sophomore, Business
"Luke transferred in during the fall semester with hopes that he could be accepted into the Kelley School of Business. Despite receiving information that he would have to miss his first competition season at IU and juggling the challenges of Kelley prerequisites, Luke earned a 4.00 during the fall semester. Not only did he do great academically, but he proved that he belongs here and will succeed. I believe Luke is a great male representative for the scholar athlete of the month, for himself and the baseball program" -Marcus Brown, Assistant Director of Academic Services & Certification
