Women's Golf Heads to Bay Area Intercollegiate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University women's golf team continues its spring schedule with the Bay Area Intercollegiate, March 9-10 at the par 71, 6,050-yard Meadow Club in Fairfax, California.
Joining the Hoosiers in the tournament field are hosts San Francisco and San Jose State, BYU, Coastal Carolina, Colorado, Colorado State, Gonzaga, Oregon, UC Riverside, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UNLV and Washington.
Indiana is coming off an 11th-place finish at the Westbrook Spring Invitational and will be led by sophomore Ana Sanjuan, who was the top Hoosier finisher in Arizona with a tie for 22nd. Sanjuan carded a 218, including a career-best final round of 70.
Junior Camille Chevalier makes her third start of the spring, finishing three strokes back from Sanjuan at Westbrook. Chevalier also finished tied for 13th at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic to open the spring season.
Senior Elizabeth Tong has played every round for Indiana this season and will compete in the third spot in California. Tong leads the team with a 73.37 stroke average and has a team-best four top-25 finishes this year.
Freshman Pear Siriko makes her third start of the spring and is coming off her best performance yet, posting three rounds of 75 to place tied for 54th at the Westbrook Spring Invitational.
Rounding out Indiana's lineup is junior Maria Mancini. Mancini tied for her second lowest round of the season in the opening round at Westbrook with a 74 and makes her sixth-straight appearance in the starting lineup.
Play includes 36 holes on March 9, followed by a final round of 18 holes on March 10.
