BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- With the close of the 2014-15 season, we take a look back at the season and some of the best notes of the year.
• IU made its Big Ten leading 38th NCAA Tournament appearance.
•
Had four regular season wins over ranked teams and our 19 wins against ranked opponents in the regular season is a Big Ten best (3rd in the country).
•
Yogi Ferrell became the 7th player to have scored 1,000 points in their career under Tom Crean at Indiana. Christian Watford (1,730), Ferrell (1,379), Verdell Jones III (1,347), Jordan Hulls (1,318), Cody Zeller (1,157), Will Sheehey (1,120) and Victor Oladipo (1,117) also have scored 1,000 points or more.
•
The Hoosiers were nationally ranked for the fourth straight season.
•
In 2014-15, IU finished 6th in the country in three-point field goal percentage (40.6), 8th in the nation in three-point field goals made per game and tying a Big Ten record in the process (9.4), and 17th in scoring
(77.4). All three led the Big Ten.
•
Junior Ryan Burton became the 28th Hoosiers since 2010 to be named Academic All-Big Ten.
• IU Coach Tom Crean won his 300th career game when the Hoosiers defeated Butler in December.
• The Hoosiers set a school record with 18 made three-pointers against Minnesota, breaking the previous record of 17, set in 2002 (vs. Illinois), 2007 (vs. Penn State). It is also a Big Ten record for most 3-point field goals made in a Big Ten game. The Hoosiers shot 18-of-32 (56.3 percent) from three.
• Junior Yogi Ferrell was a first team NABC and USBWA All-District selection and a first team All-Big Ten selection. He also has made a three-point field goal in 65 straight games.
