Below is an installment of a blog originally developed and written by Indiana women’s basketball players Tyra Buss, Amanda Cahill and Jess Walter. This post and future posts will be entirely written by these three players. Nothing has changed from the original Fresh Folk Blog except the platform. Enjoy!
WE. ARE. BACK. We're sorry for the short break there during January and February but alas, we have returned. In an attempt to reconnect with y'all, here is a quick little recap on our past few weeks.
Let’s start with good ole TT. For those of you that don't remember, TT is Tyra. She has recently made a short jaunt back to Mount Carmel to visit her dear family. While there, she was party to multiple shopping trips. B (Amanda) is really jealous because TT got a Triangle bathing suit which is all the rage amongst our collegiate peers. This will come in handy for our upcoming Panama City Beach trip this weekend (stay tuned for stories from our journey). She also got a couple pairs of awesome new shoes that JJ (Jess) has been eyeing. Unfortunately her feet are like...two sizes bigger than TT's feet, so the shoes are unable to be shared. *sigh*
Moving on to B. She has been perfecting her recently discovered craft of longboarding on JJ's longboard. Now, Beez (yes we have expanded her nickname) still struggles with stopping the board especially when careening down the hills of the parking lot. The other day, she was flying towards an oncoming pack of runners, screaming for her life. Thankfully, she made a graceful departure from the board, and has now overcome her fear of the jump required to get off. Basically, she is a pro.
JJ returned back from spring break a new person. Her hair was long, her body was flexible, and a newfound peace was found in her eyes...well she still isn't really that flexible. She went from being a few inches from reaching her toes to reaching them. While in her hometown of Midland, Michigan, she had began to regularly put coconut oil in her hair and did yoga daily. She is unhappy with her current hair length, even though we all try to convince her it looks adorbs. After researching home hair growth remedies, she decided her best bet was to massage coconut oil on her scalp before showering. Not only has her hair shown some growth but also dries soft and fluffy!
It was very weird for us three to be apart for a span of ten whole days around Spring Break, seeing as we basically travel as a pack at all times of the day. Don't fret though, we are reunited which typically means we will have some grand stories for the upcoming blogs.
Til next time... Love y'all long time.
