Hoosiers Wrap Up Day at Penn/Drake Relays

DRAKE RESULTS
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana track and field team competed at two of the most well known meets in the sport on Thursday as they had athletes at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa and the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
Penn Relays
Freshman Jill Whitman finished fourth in the women's 3,000m championship in a time of 9:36.23.
The women's 4X100m relay team made the college final with a season-best of 46.78. They will race tomorrow at 1:05 p.m.
Mackenzie Bollinger started out the day for the Hoosiers with a 14th place finish in the 400m hurdles in 1:01.78.
In the Women's Distance Medley Championship of America, the Hoosier team of Brenna Calder, Brittni King,Samantha Gwin and Brianna Johnson finished ninth in 11:37.18.
Josh Roche finished 14th in the Men's 3,000m Steeplechase Championship with a time of 9:14.07.
Drake Relays
The Hoosier 4X1600m team of Eric Claxton, Evan Esselink, Mark Chandler and Jason Crist finished in fourth-place in a time of 16:28.81.
Michele Adeniyi finished 14th in the heptathlon with a score of 4,213 points.
The Hoosiers continue competition tomorrow at both the Penn Relays and Drake Relays.
