Signee Trainer Named Gatorade Ohio Softball POY

The pitcher has accumalted a 0.25 ERA in 173 innings pitched
CHICAGO -- Tara Trainer, a 2015 Indiana softball signee, has been named the Gatorade Ohio Softball Player of the Year, the organization announced on Thursday.
The pitcher from Lebanon High School has helped her team to an undefeated 32-0 mark as the Warriors prepare for semifinal action this week.
The award is based on athletic achievement, academic excellence and exemplary character and is handed out in each of the 50 states and in the District of Columbia.
In the circle, Trainer has amassed a 17-0 record with a 0.25 ERA. She has tossed 233 strikeouts in 173 innings pitched. In addition, she has batted .439 with four homers, 36 RBI and a .707 slugging percentage.
