IU Alum Beckwith-Ludlow Wins Gold at World Relays

NASSAU, Bahamas -- IU alumnus Molly Beckwith-Ludlow was part of the USA Team that won the gold medal and set an American Record in the 4X800-meter relay at the World Relays on Sunday in the Bahamas.
The team of Beckwith-Ludlow, Chanelle Price, Maggie Vessey and Alysia Montano ran 8:00.62 to win the gold and set a new American Record. The squad ran the fastest time in the world since 1993.
Beckwith-Ludlow, who trains in Bloomington under IU head coach Ron Helmer ran a split of 1:59.50 for her 800m leg of the relay.
At IU Beckwith-Ludlow was the runner-up in the 800m at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She won the Bronze Medal at the 2014 USA Outdoor Championships.
Later this summer Beckwith-Ludlow will race at the USA Track and Field Championships with the hope of making the USA Team for the World Championships in Beijing, China.
