Tong Selected to NCAA Women's Golf Regional

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University senior golfer Elizabeth Tong was selected to the NCAA Women's Golf Regional field and will compete as an individual at the Notre Dame Regional in South Bend, Indiana at the par-72, 6,301 yard Warren Golf Course.
Competition featuring 18 teams and six individuals will take place May 7-9 with 54 holes of play. The low six teams and the low three individuals, not on those teams, will advance to the finals at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida (University of South Florida, host), May 22-27, 2015.

Tong is making her second career NCAA Regional appearance, having competed with the Hoosiers as a team in 2013. This season she has posted six top-25 finishes and four top-10 finishes, including a second-place showing at the Lady Buckeye Invitational two weeks ago. Her 73.53 stroke average leads the team and she is the only player to have competed in every event this season.
This past weekend Tong finished tied for 41st at the Big Ten Championships, including her lowest round ever in Big Ten Championship competition with a 72 on Friday. This season she has matched her career low score of 68 four times and has finished among the top five individuals in two of her last three tournaments.
