Sheehey to Play in NBA Las Vegas Summer League

LAS VEGAS – Former Indiana University men's basketball standout Will Sheehey will play for the New Orleans Pelicans in the Samsung NBA Summer League 2015, an 11-day, 67-game event at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion at UNLV, July 10-20. Last year, Sheehey averaged 2.5 points in four games with the New York Knicks summer squad.
The 24-team field at Samsung NBA Summer League 2015 is composed of 14 playoff teams from the 2014-15 NBA season, nine teams with lottery picks in NBA Draft 2015 presented by State Farm and an NBA Development League Select Team. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 15 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 20. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
Sheehey began his pro career last year with KK Buducnost of the Adriatic League in Montenegro and averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds. He returned to the United States and played in eight games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (5.8 ppg.) and in nine games for the Los Angeles D-Fenders (9.4 ppg.) in the NBA D-League.
