SCOUTING LONG BEACH STATE
••• Indiana and Long Beach State have met just three times, all coming in a March 2014 weekend series in California. The Dirtbags won the series, 2-1.
••• All three meetings were decided by one run last season. LBSU won last season's series opener (4-3) and finale (2-1), while IU took a 2-1 decision in between.
••• Scott Donley tied for IU's lead with a .333 batting average in the series. Luke Harrison threw 6.1 scoreless innings in IU's win.

••• Indiana is 26-19 overall and 9-10 in Big Ten play after sweeping No. 20 Maryland last weekend to move up to seventh in the Big Ten standings, which would contend for the Big Ten Tournament in Minneapolis (May 20-24).
••• Indiana owns seven wins over 2014 NCAA Super Regional teams and 10 vs. ranked opponents (10-3 record).
••• In the B1G, IU ranks third in strikeouts (379), tied for third in triples (13), third in walks allowed (111) and fifth in team ERA (3.38) and runs allowed (188).
••• Twenty-seven of Indiana's 45 games have been decided by three runs or less, including 17 by one run. IU is 10-7 in one-run games and 16-11 in three-run contests.
••• Indiana has recorded 10 or more hits on 23 occasions and has struck out 10+ batters 15 times. The Hoosiers have nine or more strikeouts in seven of the last nine outings.

••• Scott Donley leads IU with a .347 batting average (ninth in Big Ten), 60 hits and 28 RBI (tied), while Craig Dedelow is second with a .292 average. Casey Rodrigue leads IU with 32 runs scored, 83 total bases and is tied with Donley with 28 RBI. Seven Hoosiers have at least 10 extra-base hits, led by 18 from Rodrigue.
••• Luke Harrison leads IU with 50 strikeouts and a 0.90 ERA, while Jake Kelzer has pitched a team-high 58.1 innings.
••• Three of the five most experienced pitchers in Indiana history are currently on the roster, including two of the top three. Ryan Halstead's 99 career appearances are first while Luke Harrison is third with 84. Scott Effross has played in 75 games, which is tied for fourth.
