Over 300K Watched Hoosiers In Assembly Hall Last Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the fourth straight year, the Indiana University men's basketball program ranks among the top 10 programs in the country in average home attendance finishing eighth averaging 16,288 fans.
Hoosier fans came out in a big way for the team's 19 home events with 309,477 Cream and Crimson enthusiasts enjoying their visit to Assembly Hall. That is the fourth highest total in the nation.
Since Assembly Hall was opened in November, 1971, Indiana has ranked in the top 10 in attendance in 37 of the last 43 seasons.
IU also ranked ninth among all NCAA Division I programs with 521,870 seeing the Hoosiers play at home, on the road and in neutral games.
The Big Ten also led all conferences in average attendance with 12,781 fans, ahead of the Atlantic Coast Conference (11,368), Southeastern Conference (10,819), Big 12 Conference (10,181) and Big East Conference (9,853). It marks the 39th consecutive season the Big Ten has led the nation in average attendance.
