Former All-American D.J. White Joins Cleveland Cavalier Summer Team

Former Indiana University men's basketball All-American D.J. White will play for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Samsung NBA Summer League 2015, an 11-day, 67-game event at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion at UNLV, July 10-20.
The 24-team field at Samsung NBA Summer League 2015 is composed of 14 playoff teams from the 2014-15 NBA season, nine teams with lottery picks in NBA Draft 2015 presented by State Farm and an NBA Development League Select Team. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 15 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 20. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.
White was drafted with the 29th pick of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons and traded the same day to the Seattle SuperSonics, who were relocating to Oklahoma City. Following two and a half years in OKC, White moved to the Charlotte Bobcats where averaged 8.5 points and 4.4 rebounds and 6.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 2011-12. He also played with Boston in 2012-13 and with Charlotte in 2013-14 at the end of the season.
White played the 2013-14 season with the Sichuan Blue Whales and last year, he was a member of the Fujian Sturgeons of the Chinese Basketball Association .
