BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana volleyball team will hold its annual Cream and Crimson Scrimmage on Aug. 22.
The event will start at 5:00 p.m. at University Gym with a session of Inside Indiana Volleyball, where fans can hear from players and coaches and ask any questions they want.
After the live Q and A session, the 2015 Indiana volleyball team will take the court with their scrimmage starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Hoosiers begin the 2015 season Aug. 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET vs. Bowling Green at the Blue Raider Bash in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The team is set to host its home opener on Friday Sept. 11 at 7:00 p.m. vs. Virginia Tech, to kick off the Indiana Invitational.
The 2015 edition of IU volleyball features five seniors, including Amelia Anderson, who led the team last season with 312 kills. In 2014 then sophomore Taylor Lebo tied for the fifth most aces for a single season in program history with 51, which ranked 13th in the NCAA.
Senior libero Courtney Harnish registered 445 digs in the 2014 season, to become the third player in school history to total 445 or more for a season. After only two seasons junior setter Megan Tallman is ninth in school history for career assists with 1,848. This past summer Tallman represented Indiana on the Big Ten Foreign Tour to Europe.
"We have had great practices to start our preseason," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said. "We are excited to show our fans the hard work we have put in and we welcome everyone to come out to University Gym and see the Hoosiers play."
