Sudfeld A Manning Award Star of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, has named Indiana senior quarterback as one of its eight "Stars of the Week." College football fans can now go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Facebook page to vote for what they think was the best performance from this past weekend. When voting closes on Friday at 11 a.m. (Central), the top vote-getter will be announced as the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week.

Sudfeld carded the second-highest passing total of his career with 355 yards on 20-of-27 with three TDs to three different wideouts, his fifth career game with three-or-more passing scores, in the Hoosiers win over Western Kentucky.
He tops the Big Ten in passing yards (13th nationally), passing yards per game (312.7, 14th), total offense (975, 12th), total offense per game (325.0, 15th) and passing efficiency (20th).
Over three games, Sudfeld is 58-of-92 (63.0 percent) for 938 yards with five touchdowns, one interception and a 164.5 passing efficiency mark. He also has a pair of rushing scores.
One of the most decorated quarterbacks in IU history, Sudfeld is second in completion percentage (60.9) and 300-yard games (6), fourth in passing touchdowns (39), seventh in passing yardage (5,244), total offense (5,352), completions (404) and attempts (663) on IU's career lists in just 28 career games (17 starts).
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.
