Postgame Notes
• For the second straight season, Indiana beat a ranked Michigan State team (70-51 vs. No. 24 MSU on Dec. 31, 2014).
• The last time the Hoosiers beat two or more ranked teams in a season was in 2009-10 when they defeated No. 21/22 Michigan State and No. 4/6 Ohio State.
• Indiana improved to 7-0 at home this season and is the only Big Ten team still undefeated at home.
• The Hoosiers started the game on a 13-0 run and held Michigan State without a point until they scored a field goal at the 5:45 mark of the first quarter.
• Indiana forced a season-high 24 turnovers by Michigan State and score 41 points off of those MSU miscues.
• Indiana shot 27-of-34 (79.4 percent) from the free-throw line compared to 15-of-22 (68.2 percent) for MSU. Indiana has made more free throws (276) than opponents have attempted (222) this season.
• The Hoosiers are 5-0 when they attempt 30 or more free-throws this season.
• The Hoosiers shot 24-of-44 for the game (54.5 percent). It's the sixth time this season they have shot 50 percent or better for a game.
• Indiana held Michigan State to 4-of-22 (18.2 percent) from 3-point range. Over the last three games, opponents are shooting 11-of-45 (24.4 percent) from 3-point range against IU.
• The Hoosiers had four players score in double-figures led by sophomore Tyra Buss with 24 points. Others in double digit scorers were sophomore Amanda Cahill and junior Karlee McBride (17) and junior Alexis Gassion (10). It marks the sixth time this season the Hoosiers have had four or more players in double figures.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss recorded her 10th career game with 20 or more points and has scored in double figures in all 17 games this season and 21 consecutive games. Buss also added four assists, four rebounds and three steals.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill posted 17 points and eight rebounds. Cahill has scored in double figures in eight consecutive games and has eight or more rebounds in six straight games.
• Junior Karlee McBride made her first career start and scored a season-high 17 points. McBride connected on 5-of-5 from the field, 3-of-3 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.
