Indiana Postgame Notes at Minnesota
Jan. 16, 2016
• Indiana is 98-67 all-time against the Gophers after today's win
• Indiana's last win at Minnesota came on Feb. 26, 2012, when the Hoosiers won by a score of 69-50.
• The last time IU opened Big Ten play with a 5-0 record was 2007-08 (6-0)
• The last time IU started Big Ten play with a 3-0 record on the road was 2012-13 (4-0)
• The last time Indiana won 10 games in a row was the start of the 2011-12 season, when the Hoosiers began the year 12-0.
• The 10-game win streak is the fourth-longest active streak in the country (as of the end of the game).
• Indiana shot 10-of-12 (83.3 percent) from the free throw line in the game, the second time they have eclipsed the 80.0 percent mark in a game this season (10-of-10 vs. Wisconsin).
• The Hoosiers shot 41.3 percent from the floor in the game, their lowest percentage in a win this season and the lowest in a win since shooting 40.0 percent against Ohio State on Jan. 10, 2015.
• Indiana held a 39-31 advantage on the glass and have won or tied the rebounding battle in each of the last 10 games – all IU wins.
• Minnesota led, 29-20, with 4:57 left in the first half. But the Hoosiers were able to go on a 14-5 run to tie the game going into the locker room.
• Kevin Yogi Ferrell led the Hoosiers with 20 points, marking the 27th career game of 20 or more points in his career. He also added a team-high seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.
• Ferrell had seven assists in the game, giving him 544 for his career. He passed Quinn Buckner to move into second place all-time at IU and he is one shy of tying Michael Lewis (545) for the most in school history.
• Nick Zeisloft tallied 15 points off the bench thanks to 5-of-8 shooting from behind the 3-point line in the game. In the first half, he connected on four straight triples to help the Hoosiers erase a 9-point deficit. His five 3-point field goals made tied his season-high (UNLV).
• Max Bielfeldt poured in 10 points to go with four rebounds, one block and one steal off the bench. It's his seventh game scoring in double figures this season and his second in Big Ten play.
• The last time IU had two players score in double figures off the bench was the season opener against Eastern Illinois on Nov. 13, 2015 (Robert Johnson – 12; Bielfeldt – 11).
• Freshman Thomas Bryant chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds, scoring in double figures for the 13th time this season and the fourth straight game.
• Troy Williams finished with seven points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots.
• Collin Hartman scored just four points, but all of them came in the second half. He also hauled in two rebounds and dished out three assists.
• OG Anunoby only had two points, but they came on an emphatic steal at half court and the ensuing two-handed jam in the second half.
