Postgame Notes
January 20, 2016
• With the win, Indiana improves to 37-30 all-time against Illinois.
• The Hoosiers have won the last four meetings against the Illini, including three straight in Bloomington.
• Indiana is now 8-0 at home this season and is the only team in the Big Ten that is yet to lose at home this season. For the second time in the last three years the Hoosiers have started 8-0 at home.
• Indiana outscored Illinois 17-4 in the game's final 6:55.
• Trailing by six at 66-60 with 3:17 left to play in the fourth quarter, the Hoosiers closed the game on an 8-0 run.
• Indiana held Illinois to 2-of-10 from the field in the last six minutes of the game and held them without a field goal for the final 3:17. Indiana outscored Illinois 18-10 in the fourth quarter.
• In the final 3:30 of each quarter combined, the Hoosiers outscored Illinois 27-10.
• Indiana outrebounded Illinois 14-7 in the fourth quarter.
• This is Indiana's fourth win in which they have trailed going into the fourth quarter. It is the second time this season the Hoosiers have won after trailing by double digits in a game (11 vs. Samford, 11 tonight vs. Illinois).
• Junior Karlee McBride scored the first eight points of the game and finished with 16 for the night. McBride hit the go ahead 3-pointer to give the Hoosiers a 67-66 lead with 1:16 to play.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill scored 16 points on 6-of-11 from the field and added seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss scored 11 points and dished out six assists. Buss has scored in double figures in each game this season (19) and dating back to last year, 23 consecutive games. She also grabbed six rebounds.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. Anderson has scored eight or more points in five straight games and is shooting 23-of-37 (62.2 percent) over that stretch.
• Sophomore Jess Walter scored eight points and added three rebounds and two assists while shooting 3-of-5 from the field, including a pair of 3-point field goals.
