Indiana Postgame Notes at Wisconsin
Jan. 26, 2016
• Indiana leads the all-time series against the Badgers at 96-70.
• The Hoosiers shot 13-of-22 from the field in the second half (59.1 percent), the 28th time in 42 halves this season they have eclipsed the 50 percent mark.
• As a team, Indiana shot 45.2 percent from the floor for the game. Indiana has shot at least 41.3 percent or better in every game so far this season.
• After a 16-of-18 effort at the free throw line against Wisconsin, Indiana is shooting 74-of-91 (81.3 percent) at the charity stripe over the last six games.
• Indiana out-rebounded Wisconsin by a 32-26 margin in the game. The Hoosiers have only been out-rebounded twice through 21 games this season.
• IU finished with a 38-36 edge in points in the paint and 21-19 advantage in points off turnovers.
• Trailing, 35-28 with 1:10 left in the first half, the Hoosiers went on a 7-0 run to close out the half down just one, 35-34.
• It is the first overtime game of the season for Indiana. The last overtime game was on Dec. 27, 2014 against Georgetown at Madison Square Garden.
• Indiana senior guard Kevin Yogi Ferrell led Indiana with 30 points, moving him from 10th to seventh on the career scoring list at Indiana with 1,750 points. He passed Christian Watford (1,730), Kent Benson (1,740) and Damon Bailey (1,741). Alan Henderson is in sixth place with 1,979 career points.
• The 30 points tie a career-best in a Big Ten game (30 at Illinois on Dec. 31, 2013) and mark the second time he has scored 30 or more points in a game this season (38 vs. IPFW on Dec. 9). The last Indiana player to score 30 points or more in multiple games in the same season is Eric Gordon during the 2007-08 season.
• Ferrell was 5-of-6 from behind the 3-point line in the game. Over the last three games, Ferrell is 13-of-19 (68.4 percent) from long range and is shooting 47.0 percent on the season and 55.6 percent in Big Ten play (25-of-45).
• The 12 field goals made by Ferrell are tied for his career high (Dec. 9 vs. IPFW).
• Thomas Bryant registered 16 points after totaling 16 points combined over the two previous games. He also added seven rebounds after having six the previous two games. He was also a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line, the first time he has gone without a miss at the free throw line with more than two attempts.
• Troy Williams was the third IU player to reach double figures with 15 points. He was also 6-of-6 at the charity stripe.
• Nick Zeisloft scored two points off the bench and grabbed a season-high four rebounds in the game. It's the most rebounds in a game for Zeislof since hauling in five against Michigan State on March 7, 2015.
