• With the victory, the Hoosiers won their first ever game against Rutgers in five meetings.
• Indiana is now 9-0 at home this season, marking the first time IU has won its first nine games at home without a loss since 1994-95. The Hoosiers are the only Big Ten team without a loss at home this season.
• Indiana limited Rutgers to only 48 points in the win, the lowest opponent point total since holding Chattanooga to 43 points on Nov. 17 and the lowest total IU has held a Big Ten opponent since a 50-48 win against Illinois on Jan. 7, 2010.
• With Rutgers leading 8-5 at the 5:43 mark of the first quarter, the Hoosiers used a 23-3 run to go up 28-11. Indiana held Rutgers without a point the last 5:43 of the first quarter and one field goal over the course of the 23-3 run, which lasted 12:49.
• The Hoosiers connected on 18-of-20 (90 percent) from the free-throw line and have shot a combined 32-of-37 (86.5 percent) over the last two games. Indiana has made 12 more free throws than opponents over those two games. The 90 percent clip against Rutgers is a season best.
• Indiana made 10 3-point field goals in the game and have made 19 in their last two games combined. The 10 threes are a season best.
• The Hoosiers dished out 16 assists on their 18 field goals and had assists by six different players.
• Indiana outrebounded Rutgers 40-29 and are 8-1 this season when its outrebounds opponents.
• Sophomore Tyra Buss led the Hoosiers with 24 points, her 12th career game scoring 20 or more points. Buss has scored in double-figures in each game this season (21) and dating back to last year 25 straight games in double-figures. Buss also added seven rebounds and has 17 rebounds in her last two games. Buss scored the first seven points of the game for the Hoosiers.
• Buss also converted on 8-of-8 from the free-throw line, the most attempts without a miss for any IU player this season.
• Sophomore Amanda Cahill scored 12 points, all coming in the second half and has scored in double figures in 19 of 21 games this season. Cahill added seven rebounds and four assists.
• Junior Karlee McBride scored 12 points and is averaging 14.0 points per game over Indiana's last three games. McBride has connected on 10 3-pointers over that stretch.
• Junior Jenn Anderson scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds. Anderson converted 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.
