- With the victory, Indiana improves to 13-0 in Assembly Hall this season. The last time a Hoosier basketball team started 13-0 at home was the 2006-07 season, when that squad finished the year with a perfect 15-0 mark in Assembly Hall.
- The Hoosiers are 8-1 in Big Ten play, their best start since the 2012-13 team opened with the same record.
- Indiana has won five of its last six games against Minnesota in Bloomington.
- The Hoosiers are 99-69 all-time versus Minnesota, with wins in the last three games.
- After Minnesota took a 67-66 lead with 3:54 remaining, Indiana scored eight of the last nine points to secure a 74-68 victory. During that span, IU did not concede a field goal, holding the Gophers to 0-of-7 shooting.
- The Hoosiers, who entered Saturday's game with the nation's fifth-best rebounding margin in conference games (9.9), outrebounded the Golden Gophers, 42-35.
- In the first half of action, Indiana held Minnesota to 11-of-34 shooting (32.4 percent), 1-of-11 from 3-point range (9.1) and outrebounded the Golden Gophers 26-18.
- Indiana closed the first half on a 27-12 run over the final 11:29 to go up 39-27 at the break.
- Senior Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell scored 13 points, giving him 1,763 points for his career, ranking seventh in program history.
- Ferrell was 1-of-2 from behind the 3-point line in the game. Over the last four games, Ferrell is 14-of-21 (66.7 percent) from long range and is shooting 47.1 percent on the season and 55.3 percent in Big Ten play (26-of-47).
- With three assists on the the night, Ferrell now has 563 career assists and sits atop the Indiana career charts. His 270 career assists in Big Ten games currently ranks third in program history.
- True freshman Thomas Bryant shot 11-of-13 from the field, scoring a career-high 23 points to go along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
- Junior Troy Williams scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds in 25 minutes of action.
- Sophomore Robert Johnson grabbed a career-best eight rebounds in 28 minutes.
- Fifth-year senior Max Bielfeldt added eight points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds and two assists.
- True freshman O.G. Anunoby tallied eight points on 2-of-4 shooting to go along with six boards in 22 minutes of action.
- True freshman Juwan Morgan matched his career-high with four rebounds.
